artists rock!
If you don’t believe it,
visit the new Wilmington
University Arts and
Writing Gallery sponsored by the College of
Arts and Sciences.
Not only does this gallery showcase students’
artistic talents, it is also a virtual space where
individuals can participate in the conversation
about art along with the greater WilmU
community. Participants can create a conversa-
tion or participate in an ongoing discussion.
Currently, the University is showcasing
the Spring 2013 Student Show. The students
from Arts and Sciences as well as Technology
classes have contributed a multitude of media,
including graphite, acrylic, watercolor, charcoal,
marker, pastel, tempera, colored pencil,
photography, lithography and collage. It will
feature new art on a regular basis, including
collaborative art and submissions from the
larger WilmU community. The works are on
the display in the Peoples Building on the New
Castle campus.
Another featured section is the “Writing
Gallery.” The University is asking for people to
tell their stories through words, pictures and
movies. The stories can be anything, authenti-
cally told.
Students, faculty and staff with access to
Blackboard can find the galleries under the
“Organizations” tab.
