The crowded path to healthy aging is filled with choices

As about 10,000 adults are turning 65 each day, it is estimated that the number
of older American will grow at a rate never seen before. Without doubt, as we all get older some of us can’t help but worry if a “senior moment” might actually be something worse. In fact, many people may endure cognitive changes as they get older, including forgetfulness and a loss of their capacity for multitasking or concentration.
While some of these changes are “normal,” there are some key factors that could help us live a fulfilling life as we grow older. In this article I will share some insights and useful tips on healthy living which ultimately will translate into healthy aging.
After years of research and several studies performed on large numbers of individuals who were followed throughout their life, today we have abundant evidence suggesting that each of us can take several simple steps to promote a healthy lifestyle and enhance our overall well-being.

Bologna the Red

The city of Bologna is often referred to as La Rossa because of its red roofs and earth-tone walls.

The city was originally Etruscan, and was an important urban center for centuries, first under the Etruscans (who called it Felsina), then the Celts as Bona, and later under the Romans (Bonōnia). In the Middle Ages, it was a free municipality and later signoria, when it was among the largest European cities by population.

Bologna is about to be “discovered.” Over 175 travel experts recently named it the most underrated city in the world which is poised to become the new “hot spot” for travelers. Bologna is the capital of the region of Emilia Romagna and is located north of Florence between the Reno and Savena rivers.
It is the seventh most populous city in Italy, with about 400,000 inhabitants and
150 different nationalities. It is often referred to as La Rossa (for its Spanish-style red tiled roofs and beautiful earth tones of its walls). The city also became associated with the color red because of the political atmosphere since the local government was strongly socialist/anti-fascist from the second world war to the brink of the millennium.
Bologna is also known as La Grassa (the Fat City) for its rich and varied cuisine and also La Dotta (the learned) as it is home
Filmmaker’s ‘Templar’ venture is a search for the truth and a search for himself

“Faith, deep faith in God,” Ugo Petrillo explained about the reasoning for his first film, “Quo Vadis Templar?” the story of pilgrims and the knights who protected them.
He was interviewed via Zoom from
his Tuscan home, 17 kilometers from Castelfiorentino, where he was born.
He knows the distance because he’s a contemplative pilgrim himself, walking
at least 20 kilometers a day, sometimes popping into a rural church when called to do so. He’s not a regular churchgoer but a deep believer, based on his Roman Catholic
upbringing. “Sometimes I relate to Him, and find Him in my mind, telling me to ‘Go, go, go.’ ”
