UD East Campus Utility Upgrade
Corrado Construction showcased construction
excellence and exceptional teamwork on the East Campus Utility Upgrade Project at the University of Delaware. Collaborating closely with Whiting-Turner and Apex Mechanical, Corrado managed the complex utility installations while maintaining safe pedestrian and traffic flow on an active campus. The team employed innovative trenchless techniques to avoid disturbing existing roadways and underground utilities, demonstrating state-of-the-art practices in underground construction. Coordinating the precise installation of large steam vaults, which required heavy crane lifts in tight spaces, further highlighted their meticulous planning and execution. Despite challenging site conditions and the intricate web of existing utilities, Corrado maintained project schedules through daily coordination meetings and careful utility scans. Their team’s ability to adapt and collaborate with multiple contractors ensured
the project’s success and the continued functionality of the campus throughout construction.
