Rehoboth Beach City Hall
The 3.5 acre site for City Hall is surrounded
by existing infrastructure and an active local tourist community. Work consisted of selected demolition of the existing municipal building, basement excavation, extensive storm
water management improvements, utility improvements and new sidewalks and parking areas. Throughout the project, safety was the main goal for Corrado. With five entrances into and out of the site from multiple streets, it was important to keep traffic in and out of these entrances coordinated with city staff, to ensure the safety of the public. Taking advantage of porous soils on site, permeable asphalt paving was used for nearly all of the project’s parking areas...an innovative approach to reach the goal of maximum parking availability.
