INFRASTRUCTURE CONSTRUCTION OVER $5 MILLION
DIAMOND MATERIALS, LLC
Cranbury Logistics Center Building #1
The Cranbury Logistics Center is a former munitions factory that was closed in 1954 after an accidental explosion occurred. The Cranbury brickyard was transformed from an overgrown swamp full of trees and unexploded munitions into a 2,800,000 sf warehouse distribution park. Early in the project, Diamond Materials installed underground utilities and constructed the 1.4 million sf building pad. Work also consisted of spreading over 106,000 tons of DGA across the entire site in 18 days, spreading nearly 6,000 tons per day. Finally, Diamond Materials completed excavation and backfilling of footings, concrete curbs and sidewalk, and paving with 72,000 tons of asphalt. Use of a GPS 3-dimensional driven curb machine allowed for installation of curbing without the need for string line, reducing the man hours needed per linear foot of curbing, and providing for much quicker installation.
