GENERAL BUILDING OVER $10 MILLION
THE WHITING-TURNER CONTRACTING COMPANY Incyte Corporate Headquarters and Parking Garage
This project consisted of a 150,000 sf office building, a 355-space parking garage and seven acres of redevelopment from an existing parking lot. One of the first challenges was to position
the buildings in a manner that blended with the surrounding environment, without being intrusive, yet achieve the size needed. The building has a series of setbacks that visually makes the building blend as viewed from Augustine Cutoff. The design took advantage of the setbacks by creating three green roofs with sweeping views of the Wilmington skyline, Delaware Memorial Bridge and New Jersey. Through collaboration and teamwork, we were able to construct the
building in just 16 months.
