Amtrak Wilmington Shops
The Amtrak Wilmington Shops project involved new construction upgrades and renovations to multiple facilities at Amtrak’s Wilmington (Vandever Avenue) location, including the relocation of Car Shop 1, the construction of the ACS-64 Locomotive Test and Diagnostic Center, fire protection upgrades, HVAC optimization in multiple buildings, infrastructure upgrades, and other miscellaneous site improvements throughout. This was a very complex and intricate project, completed in close proximity to active rail lines, which was delivered on schedule to a satisfied customer.

Route 9 Library & Innovation Center
For the 16,000 people living in the three-mile stretch between Wilmington and New Castle, DE, known as the “Route 9 Corridor,” a local library seemed like a fairy tale. But like all the best fairy tales, this one has a happy ending, and the project has become the spark designed to ignite the revitalization
of a long-underserved community. The state-of-the art, 43,000 sf facility provides access to traditional resources as well as new technologies, creative production tools, and skills development programs to the surrounding community. For generations, the public library was a “have to” destination, often the only source for information. The Route 9 Library and Innovation Center is a “want to” destination, an exciting, vibrant, experiential, learning-focused place tailored to the needs of the community.
