The project included complete overhaul of both the interior and exterior of a 90,000 sf office building.
The updated new façade was designed with corrugated metal and cedar plank siding, and interior details included customized video production spaces, specialty conference rooms, open concept collaboration spaces and private phone rooms. New spaces include a 6,000 sf break room that provides a golf simulator, two-lane,
full sized bowling alley and coffee bar. Design changes combined with a tight time frame required teamwork among all trades to produce a successful project.

HEALTH CARE SPECIAL PROJECT

Christiana Care Health System, Women and Children’s Parking Garage
This 285,319 sf, four-level parking garage was constructed to support the Christiana Hospital’s Newark Campus. The garage holds over 750 vehicles, and work was completed two weeks ahead of schedule by utilizing the last planner pull schedule method. This was a much needed addition to the hospital campus to provide for continued care of visitors and patients. The success of the project, delivered on time and under budget, was due to the teamwork between the hospital, Skanska and subcontractors. One of the biggest challenges of the project was erecting the garage within the confines of the site, all the while keeping the main loop road active.
