HOW WE MAKE AN IMPACT
Faithful Friends Animal Society was formed
in 2000 to expose the mass killing of cats
and dogs entering Delaware’s publicly funded
shelters and to show how animal sheltering
could, and should, be done more humanely.
Our advocacy and leadership has vastly
improved outcomes for shelter animals,
saving hundreds of thousands of easily
adoptable, trainable, and treatable pets from
certain death. Committed to our mission,
we continue to advocate for reform, save lives, and reduce pet relinquishment
through our local programs and services including; low-cost veterinary care,
a free pet food bank, Pet Life Line phone number for guidance on pet-related
issues, dog training, support for community cats, pet therapy program, and
more. Our new No-Kill shelter and community veterinary clinic in New Castle
saves lives and promotes the human-animal bond. All animals in our care stay
with us until placed into new, loving homes.
