heBaltimore Port Alliancewelcomednearly 100 state
delegates and senators to a convivial legislative reception
at a historic inn across the street from theMarylandState
House in January.

The theme of this year’s receptionwas private investment
in the Port. Companies showcased their infrastructure and
equipment improvements. Rukert Terminals President
John
Coulter
explained to lawmakers how his company has used
state-of-the-art technology to streamline the delivery of
salt to the state’s salt domes, whichwas especially timely
since the reception took place just after amajor winter
storm. Rukert Terminals supplies all of Maryland, Southern
Pennsylvania and Northern Virginiawith road salt, working
