Last year, the Port of Baltimore set a
record by handling 652,000 cars — best
in the nation. Along with its geographic
advantage of being the closest port to
traditional Midwest markets, Baltimore
enhances its reputation among the
automotive world with its nationally
renowned quality program, QCHAT (Quality
Cargo Handling Action Team). QCHAT relies
on regular communication among all key
players in the auto supply chain, from auto
manufacturers and ocean carriers to labor,
processors and Port personnel.
