EZ PIZZI CLEANING: Taking
Pride in a Professional Service
Growing up, Samantha Jackson spent her
teenage years split between Pennsylvania
and North Carolina. Durning high school
and later, as a single mom in college,
Jackson cleaned hotel rooms and houses.
It always was a fulfilling side job that
allowed flexibility with balancing school
and parenting. In 2014, she turned that side
gig into a business, following a health scare
that put her out of work for several months.
“I was bored out of my mind during the
period when I couldn’t work, and I realized
how much I missed cleaning,” Jackson said.
“So, I decided to make a business out of it.”
With referrals and word of mouth, EZ Pizzi
Cleaning soon began to grow enough that
Jackson was able to devote herself to it full-
time. Today, she employs 24 cleaners, who
work in teams of three.
“I designed the business to be very team-
oriented,” she said. “When you’re cleaning by
yourself, there are days when you just don’t
feel up to it. But having two other people
there allows everyone to have their off days
without it throwing off the team chemistry
and without customers feeling the effects.”
Customer satisfaction is particularly
important to Jackson because EZ Pizzi
exclusively cleans in residential settings.
“People are nervous to trust house cleaners,
so I want to make it clear that we care for
your home as much as you care for your
home,” she said. “We’re not house cleaners
because we have nothing else to do. We
thoroughly enjoy what we do. I want to put
the pride back into that professional service.”
Cleaning in Chester County is also personal
for Jackson as a local. “I moved back and forth
between Exton and North Carolina as a child,
but having experienced school in both areas,
I knew I wanted my children to grow up here,
knowing the great education system and all
the other things they’d have exposure to. It’s
an awesome place for kids to grow up. And I
love seeing our customers in the community.”
