  Baltimore County is a dynamic, appealing destination for companies of any size and in any industry. On the

CENTRAL COUNTY
Towson is a thriving, dynamic county seat that has attracted more than $1 billion in private investment. The most notable recent project here is Towson Row, a 1.2-million-square-
foot mixed-use development that is expected to generate $220 million in annual business sales and create 5,500 jobs. Some tenants have already opened, including a 59,119-square-foot Whole Foods Market and The York student housing, which serves Towson University.
North of Towson, in Owings Mills, the massive Metro Centre mixed-use development continues to grow. The transit-oriented project’s newest arrivals include the brand-new Marriott Owings Mills Metro Centre Hotel & Conference Center and The Willard apartment building, set to open in summer 2022.
Rounding out the central business communities is Hunt Valley, which is home to McCormick & Company as well as several other national and divisional headquarters.
BUSINESS COMMUNITIES: TOWSON
Towson, one of the largest unincorporated county seats in the U.S., is a dynamic commercial and residential community that is home to more than 55,000 residents and 5,000 businesses. Conveniently located just inside the Baltimore Beltway about eight miles north of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, Towson is a major
employment center, drawing more than 56,000 workers each day from nearby neighborhoods and throughout the region. While major educational and health care institutions are the largest local employers, Towson is also a hub for corporate headquarters, professional services and information technology firms such as the health solutions unit of General Dynamics.
The Towson business community has several competitive advantages, including:

• Stanley Black and Decker Global Tools and Storage Division
• Whiting Turner Contracting Company: one of the nation’s largest construction management and general contracting companies
• MileOne: one of the nation’s largest privately held automotive sales and service delivery networks

• Over 2,700 new apartments and townhomes built since 2008. These amenity-rich residential developments offer a range of upscale living options in or near downtown.

• Towson Town Center: anchored by Nordstrom and Macy’s, features upscale retailers such as Louis Vuitton and Tiffany & Co.
• Towson University: Maryland’s second- largest public university and largest undergraduate business school

BUSINESS COMMUNITIES: HUNT VALLEY Just 15 miles north of Baltimore City, the Hunt Valley I-83 Corridor is a diversified business community with strong national and divisional headquarters of major corporations, including McCormick & Company and Bank of America.
The corridor runs from Timonium north
to Sparks and pulls workers from an area reaching from Baltimore City and surrounding counties to York and southern Pennsylvania. The interstate highway and a local Light Rail line provide excellent access to the corridor’s corporate campuses, operation centers and specialized manufacturers.
