  In May 2022, Greenland Technologies Holding Corporation, a technology developer and manufacturer of electric industrial vehicles and drivetrain systems for material handling machineries and vehicles, selected Baltimore County for the next phase of a major U.S. expansion. Greenland plans to build an approximately 50,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in White Marsh, where it aims to steadily create new full-time jobs.
Along Route 43 near White Marsh, a large mixed-use development has been rising
since 2016. When completed, Greenleigh at Crossroads will offer more than 1.9 million square feet of Class A office and commercial space, more than 1,000 single-family and town homes, and more than 100,000 square feet of retail space. Major components of the project, such as The Berkleigh luxury apartment building and a SpringHill Suites by Marriott hotel, are already complete.
