Even though Tatiana Copeland only began her journey in the United States during college, the German native, who is married to du Pont heir Gerret Copeland, has made her mark on Delaware as a philanthropist, business founder and leader. In addition to her ownership of Bouchaine Vineyards
in California, Copeland, who speaks six languages, is also the founder and president of several real estate and energy businesses and is involved with many boards and nonprofits, including the Delaware Symphony Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Delaware Art Museum, the Grand Opera House in Wilmington among many others. ChristianaCare in 2022 named its breast center The Tatiana Copeland Breast Center at the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute
in recognition of Gerret and Tatiana Copeland’s generous financial support.

La Plaza Delaware
After a storied career in nonprofits and state government, where she helped launch and develop an impactful financial empowerment program among other successes, Mary Dupont saw a need in Sussex County to build the capacity and opportunities for Hispanic/Latino businesses in the southern part of the state. She founded La Plaza Delaware in 2021 to do just that, and has since grown the new nonprofit to include hundreds of business partners while also providing the innovative, culturally competent programs and resources in business and leadership development they need to grow and thrive.

Longwood Foundation
The philanthropic legacy of Delaware’s prominent du Pont family lives on in many, not the least of whom includes Longwood Foundation President Thère du Pont. Not only does he lead efforts at this private foundation, which provides over $20 million
in funding annually to charitable organizations throughout the First State and parts of Pennsylvania,
but du Pont also serves as chair of
the Pete du Pont Freedom Foundation and is an ex-officio member on
the Longwood Gardens board. The Stanford University graduate has previously worked for a large online pharmaceutical company and formerly as president and CEO of Wawa.

Rob Eppes
Junior Achievement of Delaware, Inc.
Junior Achievement of Delaware President Rob Eppes is now giving back to the community what he
once received. As an alumni of the nonprofit program, which benefits students by providing innovative collaborations with local businesses and educational leaders, Eppes now leads a program that serves more
than 16,600 local students and 1,000 volunteers in 100-plus schools. By taking an entrepreneurial approach
to obstacles and opportunities, he’s able to help his associates manage and support one another while cultivating enduring relationships among diverse stakeholders.
