Carvertise
Wilmington-based Carvertise is the nation’s largest ride-sharing advertising company, and it all started when its founder Mac Macleod was a University of Delaware student. Carvertise uses cars as rolling advertisements at
public events for national brands like DraftKings, Wawa, DoorDash and Netflix. In 2022, revenue grew by 50% through using Lyft and Uber drivers
to push brands. In summer 2023, Carvertise opened a new headquarters in Wilmington’s Riverfront to accommodate a growing staff. Driving much of the company’s latest growth are its “swarm” campaigns, where a dozen or more wrapped vehicles drive around a given venue for a major event, ranging from a pharmaceutical conference to the Super Bowl.
