St. Michael’s School has been caring for and
educating Wilmington’s youngest children for
134 years. We are a high-quality early care
and education center serving children from
infancy up to kindergarten entry year-round.
St. Michael’s is a safe, stabilizing factor
in the Eastside neighborhood of the city.
We offer an outstanding newly-renovated
facility, an expansive outdoor playground with
nature studies, uniquely enriched learning
experiences and a renewed commitment to supporting our families.

GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
St. Michael’s is approaching the end of our major renovation and expansion
project that will increase enrollment, enhance supports for families and
neighborhood residents, and provide mentoring opportunities for early
childhood professionals. We are still in need of gifts to reach our campaign
goal so we can provide a higher level of programming that matches the
improved quality of our facility.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Individual and group opportunities available year round! Engage our urban
children in outdoor learning activities. Help organize and stock our Family
Resource Room. Hold employee drives for baby supplies, early learning books,
art supplies, or winter coats for children and adults. Or be a guest reader
in our monthly Pre-K Book Club!
