In 2023, as food prices remained high, and expanded supplemental benefi ts available during covid were discontinued, more seniors asked for nutritonal assistance. The number of freshly prepared home delivered meals increased by 3.5% over the previous year. Across the state of Delaware, 849,000meals were delivered to 6,600 seniors.GIVING OPPORTUNITIESMake a direct contribution at MealsOnWheelsDE.org2024 has seen a return to gathering together and our fundraising events are back to their regular schedule. The numbers of seniors requesting help with a home delivered meal continue to rise as the over 70s population increases. Join us in raising funds for them in 2025 by sponsoring an event, buying a ticket, or donating an item. Your contribution will make a difference.VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Volunteer to help with a fundraising event. Events take place throughoutthe year and across the state.
