We have an impact on the lives of over 300 people every day. St Pat%u2019s directly addresses basic human needs for food, clothing, and provides services for seniors and the homeless. Distributing free groceries alleviates hunger and enables families to spend limited resources on other needs. One in six children in Delaware are food insecure. Increased availability of resources alleviates household stress that affects childhood development. We directly address poverty and inequality by distributing resources and connecting individuals to additional resources. We aim to reduce povertyby better enabling individuals to overcome barriers to stability.GIVING OPPORTUNITIESThe USDA estimates that it costs $980.90 to feed a family of four on a thrifty food plan. St Pat%u2019s can provide the same amount of food at a cost of $254.04. We are always in need of gently used clothes, shelf-stable foods, and planned legacy giving.VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES We are seeking volunteers for food distribution, clothes sorting, assisting with senior activities, and offi ce administrative tasks.BOARD OF DIRECTORS:Theresa Young, ChairpersonNancy W Law,Vice-ChairpersonRT Christopher,TreasurerChristine M Dougherty, SecretaryMarian E BurtKathleen M DinsmoreJoe P Farley, JrAlison HildenbrandCheryl MackeyMichael McDermottJoseph B SmithJoseph L YacyshynLEADERSHIP42 | GIVING GUIDE 2024/2025
