Founded in 1978 by Bronx native and veteran Michael T. Ungaro, Metro Optics is a Bronx-born, Bronx-bred, Bronx-centric company serving the neighborhoods you live and work in for over four decades. In order to fulfill its mission to provide world-class eye care and eyewear right here in the Bronx, all Metro Optics locations (in Parkchester, Westchester Square, Hunts Point and Throggs Neck) are outfitted with secure electronic medical records, state-of-the-art eye care technology and tools, and a sophisticated audio/visual system providing eye health education and product information to patients.
