Regional Climate Action Plans in the Works
WILMAPCO is teaming up with the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) and the South Jersey Transportation Planning Organization (SJTPO) to create two climate action plans for the Philadelphia region.
These plans will allow funding for key projects that reduce greenhouse was due to be submitted to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in March 2024. Following

Similar state-level plans are also in progress.
The PCAP draws on existing state and local climate plans to identify priority areas for reducing climate pollution. Around two dozen action measures from these plans were condensed into a draft listing of seven measures consisting of representatives from across the 12-county region and key these measures.
The current draft list includes actions such as implementing clean energy and pedestrian transportation. This will be accepted for projects falling into these areas.
