HOW WE MAKE AN IMPACT
Save the Sound leads environmental
action in your region, protecting the Sound and its rivers, fighting climate change, saving endangered lands, and working with nature to restore ecosystems.
Right now, we are developing a new
watershed plan for the Hutchinson River,
holding local governments accountable to
the Clean Water Act, and evaluating opportunities to restore migratory access for fish on Westchester waterways. Our team of attorneys, engineers, scientists, and other experts works to protect and restore our environment for people and wildlife, now and for many decades to come.
GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
Become a member for $25, or for more impact give monthly. When you make a gift at savethesound.org/donate, you’ll help your neighborhood adapt to climate threats; protect clean water through science, advocacy, and legal action; and preserve your region’s threatened forests and riverfronts. For more ways to give, contact asullivan@savethesound.org.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Get trained as a water quality monitor, testing your local waters for sewage pollution. Plant native species to restore habitats to health or a rain garden to filter stormwater. Join a cleanup to get trash off your favorite beach. Make your voice heard with our 20,000-strong email action network. Learn more at savethesound. org/take-action/volunteer
