THE NEW NY BRIDGE
Scheduled for completion in 2018, the new Tappan Zee Bridge will offer a more efficient crossing for the 138,000 motorists who use the Hudson cross- ing each day. With eight general traffic lanes and breakdown/emergency lanes, the bridge will also feature a state-of-the-art traffic monitoring system. Pedestrians and cyclists will also enjoy a shared use path.
