 SLEDDING HILLS
Is there anything better than zooming down the side of a hill on a fast sled? (Well, maybe some well-deserved hot chocolate after.) Delco has plenty of options for getting your snowy fix.
Kids in the Wallingford area line up at the top of the hill behind this school as soon as the first flake hits the ground. Even the school paper calls it “the sledding hill.”
ROSE TREE PARK
  CLAYTON PARK AND GOLF COURSE
Fact: Golf courses make for excellent sledding, and Clayton Park is no exception. The hills do get pretty steep, so this may be one for the older crowd. (Or a great excuse for you to sled along with the kiddos...)
 ODORISIO PARK
This green space in Wayne has three different hills surrounding its baseball field, giving kids (and grown-ups, let’s be honest) plenty of chances to choose their own adventure.
 RIDLEY CREEK STATE PARK
A large, grassy slope by the park office is a popular local sledding destination. It allows for a nice, long glide without too much speed, making it ideal for younger kids.
 ROSE TREE PARK
This park has its fair share of rolling, grassy hills that transform into a sledding paradise come winter. Many of the slopes are wide and shallow, making this another great place to take the littles.
