SITUATED IN THE HEART OF THE MID-ATLANTIC, Baltimore is easily accessible by plane, train or highway. Its location – within easy reach by more than 50 million people and in close proximity to New York, Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia – makes it a prime meeting destination.
> Just a short hop to downtown, BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport offers more than 600 flights daily, an adjacent Light Rail station and a quick shuttle to the BWI Amtrak Station. See the adjoining page for more on BWI’s exciting growth.
> Penn Station is minutes from the Inner Harbor and hotels. Amtrak offers special group fares. The Maryland Transit Authority (MTA) operates bus, Metro Subway, Light Rail
and Maryland Area Regional Commuter (MARC) train services.
> MARC also now offers weekday and weekend service from Washington, D.C. to Baltimore.
> Baltimore is located at the crossroads of the Mid-Atlantic states and is easily accessible via I-95, I-83 and I-70. There are more than 40,000 parking spaces in the downtown area.
Getting Around
Baltimore is a walkable city, as the Convention Center, major hotels, restaurants, shops and attractions are all located within blocks of the Inner Harbor.

A fast, free, hybrid bus service, the Charm City Circulator features four routes that intersect downtown Baltimore and connect to other transit such as the Light Rail, MARC, the Metro Subway and the Baltimore Water Taxi.
> MOTORCOACHES AND PARKING
Visit Baltimore operates a motorcoach facility adjacent to
the B&O Railroad Museum. The new, secure area features a drivers’ lounge with cable television, vending machines, Wi-Fi and restrooms. The facility also may be used for tractor-trailer staging for major citywide conventions and tradeshows.
