EXPERIENCE BALTIMORE
UNIQUE Event Spaces
BALTIMORE IS A CITY STEEPED IN HISTORY AND GORGEOUS ARCHITECTURE, and developers are being careful to honor that legacy while completing renovations to modernize the city’s landmarks. Two of the crown jewels of such rehabilitations are the Parkway Theatre, renamed the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Parkway, and the Sagamore Pendry Hotel, both of which are available for private events.

STATION NORTH ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT DISTRICT
Last year marked the opening of the newly rehabbed 102-year- old Stavros Niarchos Foundation Parkway on North Avenue in
the Station North Arts and Entertainment District. The official home of the Maryland Film Festival, the Parkway shows independent films year-round and is available to rent for private functions. The $18.2 million renovation project of the
1915 theater merged architectural elements of its century-old history with a new film center. The building
is a classic Greek revival design, with the original tile floors, ceilings, ornate stage frame and a dramatic curving balcony preserved. Modern updates include a digital film booth, royal blue seats, surround-sound speakers and three theaters.

FELL'S POINT
Last year also saw the opening
of luxury boutique Sagamore Pendry hotel, erected on the site of Baltimore’s historic Recreation Pier in Fell’s Point. The pier’s extensive renovation honors the historic essence of the property. The hotel was carefully reimagined by Patrick Sutton Design, with a creative vision rooted in its historic significance
as an immigration welcome center built in 1914. The hotel has 128 guestrooms, the lauded Rec Pier Chop House restaurant by Chef Andrew Carmellini, The Cannon Room whiskey bar, an infinity pool overlooking the harbor, and spa services. The property also features a ballroom and interior garden well suited for private events.
