COMMUNICATIONS
Stay In The Know!
The NCFA communications team will always keep you informed! Whether you’re visiting our website (www.ncforestry.org), engaging in our social media platforms, opening our emails, or reading this magazine, you’ll be sure to find what you need.
The NCFA provides a weekly newsletter called Zipline that is distributed on Wednesdays.
Zipline provides updates on
important legislation related
to the forest products industry, upcoming ProLogger trainings
and member events, our education programs, and resources available to members.
Every quarter, we release this magazine — TreeLine — featuring NCFA updates, member and industry articles, business opportunities, and a variety of resources for members.
2023 Video Series Highlight
In 2023, the NCFA communications team worked to develop three videos to highlight the sustainability of
forests in NC. The series features interviews with landowners and those working with landowners
and provides their perspectives on what sustainable forestry means to them. All videos can be viewed on our YouTube channel.
Turning Over A New Leaf
Earlier this year, we brought on a new Director of Communications — Jeanne Harmor. Jeanne comes to us with extensive communications and marketing experience, having served clients in diverse industries such as agriculture, healthcare technology, and the nonprofit space. She has embraced the forestry industry with open arms, visiting over 10 members in her first six weeks on the job! She has learned so much already and is eager to meet all the amazing NCFA members across our beautiful state.

Branching Out
For the rest of the year and beyond, the NCFA communications function will focus on storytelling and strengthening our relationships with local media. We will make every effort
to spotlight all the good that comes from our industry and
the positive impact our education programs are having on students statewide.
If you ever have a story or an idea for content that can be supported by the NCFA, please let us know! Email Jeanne at jharmor@ncforestry.org.
