Sustainable Forestry Teachers
Experience (SFTE)
We hosted three SFTE workshops
in the summer, with 64 educators in
attendance. We re-engaged NC Project
Learning Tree and the NC Forest Service as
partners in the program. The SFTE continues
to have a significant positive impact on changes in teacher knowledge, awareness, and perceptions of forestry in NC, as well as teachers’ comfort in teaching forestry topics.
