Classroom
Programs
In the fall of 2022, Director of Education Jessica Ireland, Communications Intern Kat Peters, and Education Intern Abigail Ridge taught a “Who Lives in the Woods” program
to seven 1st-grade classes (94 students) at South Lakes Elementary School and five 4th-grade classes (108 students) in Fuquay- Varina. The students participated in an interactive story to learn about a forest community and how all organisms are connected. They also had the opportunity to learn about some of the animals that live in North Carolina’s forests. ■
