If you’re looking for the perfect family vacation destination, you can’t go wrong with Garrett County. Lots of
outdoor space to run around in? Check. Family-friendly attractions like farms, arcades and outdoor obstacle courses? Check. Calm waters for swimming and splashing? Check.
Most kids love getting up close with animals, and Alpaca Acres Farm and Fiber (alpacaacresmd.com) provides a chance to do just that. Kids can meet Al, Bruno and the farm’s other four-legged residents on a guided walk and feed them grain if they like! (Before you head home,
pick up some alpaca-wool clothes or novelty items at the farm store. Or grab a s’mores kit and enjoy a pre-lit campfire.)
