Corporate Retreats, Meetings and Team Building
An offsite meeting or work retreat is a great way to reconnect, especially after a long time spent away from the office. Garrett County’s many lodging options and meeting venues will be happy to accommodate you.
Wisp Resort (wispresort.com) hosts many corporate groups on its more than 40,000 square feet of meeting space. The staff can help you schedule a blend of business and pleasure with team-building programs.
Deep Creek Lake Adventures
(dcladventures.com) offers several venues for fun group activities, including the largest aerial adventure park in the tri-state area, an arcade and an axe-throwing facility. For a few rounds of golf, Garrett County has four courses with mountain and lake views that cater to all skill levels.
Military Reunions
Garrett County’s outdoor sports and adventure activities are a particular draw to military personnel from East Coast bases who hold reunions here. The state parks offer free admission to veterans and there are military discounts at many businesses. In the spring, the Chamber’s Military March promotion provides a range of discounts

Getaways for Friends and Couples
Garrett County has wine tours, brewpubs, specialty shops and a fun nightlife to keep you busy on your friends’ or couples’ getaway.
Haley Farm Inn & Retreat Center

Head to Mountain State Brewing Co. (mountainstatebrewing.com) for a

Family Reunions
If your family members are located mostly
in the Mid-Atlantic or the Midwest, Garrett County is the perfect place to meet in the middle! Heart-pounding outings like our aerial adventure courses and whitewater rafting might appeal to the younger crowd, while our quaint main streets are the perfect spots for the older generations to reminisce over a cup of coffee or lunch.
You have lots of lodging options to choose from as well. Garrett County’s many state parks offer camping, glamping and cabins; spacious lakefront homes can accommodate small to moderate-sized groups in one place; and hotels offer a wide range of group packages. You’ll also have your pick of picnic areas and pavilions for a barbecue or old-fashioned family potluck.
