CHANCE TO NETWORK, GET INVOLVED
There are many ways to take advantage of your
Chamber membership, but one of the most rewarding
is joining a committee. Here is a closer look at each
of them — learn more, explore and don’t be shy about
sitting in on a meeting to determine the best fit for
you and your business.
WOMEN INFLUENCING BUSINESS
COMMITTEE
The Women Influencing Business (WIB) Committee is dedicated to
educating and inspiring women in order to enhance their business
skills, develop their professional networks, and serve as effective
and influential business leaders in the community.
WIB’s special events are at the core of the experience. One is an
annual awards dinner where the committee names a female
business leader of the year and a rising star. Other signature events
include the Gals on the Green golf tournament and an annual
pickleball event.
“We host collaborative events throughout the year with different
groups,” said WIB Chair Jolie Karp. As an example, she named an
event focused on women in manufacturing and a collaboration with
West Chester University on its Women’s Leadership Conference.
The WIB Committee meets quarterly to connect about upcoming
events and form subcommittees.
For anyone who is interested in joining, “they can reach out to the
Chamber and we’ll get them on the invite list for our meetings,”
Karp said.
