First partnering with Historic Hudson Valley and their popular Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze® as a test site for launching the unique concept, the BCW placed eye- catching signage of their “silent spokesperson” in a variety of high-traffic events and locations throughout Westchester. Each sign urged would-be applicants to scan a special QR code linked to a new web portal where potential applicants could register and upload a resume with the objective of matching site visitors to some of the area’s most- prestigious companies participating in the BCW’s ongoing talent attraction and cultivation initiative.
Looking ahead, Gottlieb says
the BCW is equally focused on education and engagement. “We are creating a 5-part series to educate employers on attracting talent in the current market. It will focus on what employees are currently demanding, such as hybrid scheduling and increased benefit packages. Œis
will help them better understand where the market is today in terms of attracting and retaining talent.”

Element 46 helps businesses catalyze their growth. Œe program offers a full, multi-week virtual curriculum, pitch and networking events for founders, access to a mentor network of investors and successful technology
entrepreneurs, corporate and technology partnerships, and cutting- edge technology and business skills.
Launch1000
Œe Launch1000 program was established in 2020 in response to the significant economic disruption caused by COVID-19, with the goal of enabling 1,000 Westchester residents to start a business or develop an income stream for themselves
and their families. Œe program is designed to help residents evaluate and test a business idea with potential customers.
