New Richardson Park Pump Station
This project by Kuhn Construction involved the construction at the massive new Richard Park Pumping Station for New Castle County. The structure required placement of 2,000 cubic yards of concrete in an excavation over 42-feet deep with groundwater 5-feet below the surface and rock at depths of 25 to 30 feet below the surface. Kuhn Construction met these challenges with a unique cofferdam design that enabled them to safely complete this challenging project ahead of schedule.

DuPont Experimental Station Laboratories (ESL)
This project, led by Preferred Electric, consisted of the systems renovation and modernization
at building E323 at the DuPont Experimental Station campus. Since the facility was a “live” research facility where laboratories were actively conducting scientific experiments, air monitoring and
air quality were of the utmost importance. Clean rooms were established to minimize the spread of particulates. Precise coordination between Preferred Electric and the building occupants streamlined project completion to deliver a sorely needed upgrade to 21st century research requirements.
