Bayhealth Hospital, Sussex Campus
The Sussex Campus for Bayhealth is the first new hospital in Delaware in over
30 years. This will provide a much-needed facility for our southern counties. Any hospital is complex. Whiting-Turner managed this project through an IPD approach to maintain schedule and budget. The quality of construction and challenges of coordination were overcome with attention to detail and on-site management.
The enormous HVAC, medical gas, emergency electrical components were
woven into the schedule to achieve completion on-time and on-budget.

The Tower at STAR
The Tower at STAR (Science, Technology and Advanced Research) serves as the cornerstone of the University’s College
of Health Sciences mission, which is to
train the next generation of health-care professionals in a collaborative and inclusive inter-professional learning environment. With cutting-edge technology, The Tower is able to connect anywhere
in the world for the purposes of leading or participating in a video stream for educational development. From research on the sixth floor to help injured military personnel with limb loss to sensors on the fourth floor to study the movement and activities of individuals with chronic disease, The Tower is challenging today’s norm in health care and research
for patients ranging from babies to 85 years old.
