Wilmington Sports Complex
This project embodied the spirit of development within a brownfield area of the community. The 2,500-seat arena is home to the Delaware Blue Coats, the Titus Sports Academy, and Nemours Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Facility. Supporting youth health and fitness, this complex should spark additional development opportunities for the city.
GENERAL CONSTRUCTION OVER $30 MILLION BANCROFT CONSTRUCTION CO. The Tower at STAR
The Tower at STAR Campus supports the University of Delaware’s development of Health Science Program with an exciting building. The 164-foot-tall tower boasts over 1,200 tons of structural steel, 28 miles of metal clad cable, and 67,000 square feet of glass on the exterior of the building. The Tower
at STAR, which took 21 months to construct, features a 300-person meeting room, interactive labs, a variety of research and collaborative spaces with an emphasis on health sciences, a demonstration kitchen, and a living green wall named in honor of Bancroft’s former EVP
and Partner, Nash M. Childs. Construction at the former Chrysler Plant is ongoing.
