OUR MISSION
To ignite a life-long
passion for exploring,
discovering, and valuing
nature and science.
HOW WE MAKE AN IMPACT
Our vision is a caring, connected community
that protects our living planet. Encouraging
guests to explore and discover is at the
core of what we do, whether it’s through
exhibits, events, programs, or connecting
with partnering organizations and scientists.
Museum researchers maintain our expansive
collections of mollusks and birds, including
the second-largest collection of birds’ eggs in
North America. Educational programs include
summer camp, school tours, community outreach
visits, scout activities, and other initiatives.
