EDiS Company is honored with a Merit in the GC/CM under $2M category for the Hockessin Colored School/Center for Diversity, Inclusion & Social Equity. Built in 1920, Hockessin Colored School #107 educated Black students during segregation and was influential in the Brown versus Board of Education precedent. After a much-needed renovation, it now serves as a center for diversity, inclusion and social equity.
NICKLE ELECTRICAL COMPANIES
In the electrical $2M–$5M category, a Merit is presented to Nickle Electrical Companies for the new Applied Technology Building at Wor-Wic Community College. The 50,000-square- foot innovative technology center supports workforce development courses for applied and emerging technologies. The project posed a challenge with large open ceilings, opaque walls and more that tested Nickle’s skilled electricians.
