In the GC/CM category $2-5 million, Whiting-Turner his awarded an Excellence for the W.L. Gore Capabilities Center. Renovation of the center, lobby and front entrance at the W.L. Gore Barksdale plant included all new entrance, new curtainwall, entrance portal, intricate casework throughout the facilities
as well as state-of-the-art audio and visual integrations throughout.
ASSURANCE MEDIA
Assurance Media is honored with an Excellence in the Specialty category of low voltage cabling for the Christiana Care Women’s & Children’s Health Center. Assurance Media was contracted by Skanska Construction to install over 183 miles of structured cabling at the new 7-story health center. A total of 18 data closets were completed in a timeframe of six months.
BPGS
In the GC/CM under $2 million category,
BPGS is awarded an Excellence for The Green Room Renovation. The Green, or Le Cavalier,
is a 4,365 sq. ft. restaurant that operates as part of the Hotel DuPont. This historically significat restaurant layers antique elements with lavish modern finishes to complement many original features which date back to 1913.

RALPH G. DEGLI OBIZZI & SONS
Ralph G. Degli Obizzi & Sons is awarded an Excellence in the Mechanical $10 million & over for the Christiana Care Women’s & Children’s Health Center. Performing the entire mechanical work for the 397,000 sq. ft. Christiana Care Women’s tower ranks as Ralph G. Degli Obizzi & Sons largest project to date. With over 25 miles of medical gas, sanitary, storm, domestic water and HVAC piping, all work was accomplished without disrupting the main hospital.
