  32 | GIVING GUIDE 2021
HOW WE MAKE AN IMPACT
Ronald McDonald House of the Greater
Hudson Valley provides access to quality
healthcare for children and programs that
strengthen families during difficult times,
helping them cope better and ease the
emotional and financial burdens they
experience when faced with their child’s
illness. Just steps away from their child’s
hospital bedside, the 12-bedroom House serves as a home-away-from-home to families during their child’s medical treatment. Since opening in 2011, we have saved over 2,000 families nearly $5M in out-of-pocket lodging and meal costs.
GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
Monetary gifts allow us to continue supporting families at minimal or no cost to them. We do not require payment from families and never turn a family away if they are unable to give. In-kind donations help keep our costs down and ensure that more than $0.70 of every dollar donated goes directly to program services.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Volunteers provide support to families making their days a little easier and comforting them in their time of need. Whether it’s answering the door with a smile, visiting with their therapy dog, or cooking a warm meal, volunteers are what make our House a home for families. Contact us for individual or group opportunities.
