GIVE US A BRIEF HISTORY OF YOUR COMPANY.
MatriArch Development is a Westchester County Women’s Business Enterprise that applies regional knowledge to maximize social, economic and envi- ronmental outcomes of conscientious investments. It was formed in June 2014 by me and my mother Rosalie Kravitz – we’re a mother-daughter team invested in our community. My mother leads the team with over 30 years of real estate experience in the New York Metro Area across residential and commercial fields, with expertise in the Westchester County market. Through leveraging relationships with the region’s leading design, planning, legal, construction and financial firms, MatriArch Development enriches local communities with an adaptive devel- opment process and product.
WHAT ARE THE UNIQUE ATTRIBUTES OF 101 WOLFS LANE?
101 Wolfs Lane is a transit-oriented development in a downtown village with new, high visibility commercial space, as well as studio, one-, two-,
and three-bedroom luxury apartments, and on-site garage parking.
It is unique as a perfect middle ground between urban and suburban living: it is located on a desirable, walk- able main street of its own, and is also just a minute’s walk to the train to NYC (30 minutes to Grand Central) and New Rochelle (5 minutes to downtown). In addition, it is designed to be as fossil fuel free and sustainable as possible.
HOW HAS THE COUNTY OF WESTCHESTER INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AGENCY (IDA) PROVIDED ASSISTANCE?
The IDA is helping by providing sales tax and mortgage recording tax exemptions for this project.
WHAT’S THE TIMELINE FOR COMPLETION?
December 2020.
WHY IS PELHAM A GREAT PLACE FOR DEVELOPMENT? Pelham is a great place for develop- ment because it’s a great place to live and work. It has beautiful green spaces, amazing architecture, historic charm, great local businesses, dedicated pub- lic servants and strong community. We are really proud of our schools and our local cultural institutions, like The Picture House – which hosts a wide range of film screenings and educa- tional programs – and the Pelham Art Center, home to diverse exhibitions and classes for both established and new artists.
       “Pelham is a
great place for
development
because it’s a
great place to
live and work.”
