The Center for Faith and Justice: Answering St. Francis’ Call to “Live Jesus”
De Sales Service Works’ “The Last Stop” recovery house in Camden, NJ.
The Center for Faith and Justice (CFJ) can best be described as a hub, and an incredible resource, for the Salesianum community to put their faith into action. On a daily basis, CFJ provides a space for students to work with faculty to pray, plan school liturgies, develop retreats, and map out meaningful service projects across the globe and in the local community.
The CFJ continues to pack the calendar with countless opportunities for spiritual formation, BRIDGE (Building Relationships in Diverse Global Environments) trips and retreats, with the simple goal of getting our students talking openly about God, religion and becoming men
who seek to serve others and a world very much in need. Zachary “Zach” Ryan, Director of Campus Ministry,
remembers a trip to Camden, NJ six years ago, where a homeless man told Salesianum students: “Everyone you meet today knows something you don’t know.”
