DelDOT Looking for Feedback
on How to Make Delaware Safer for Pedestrians
In its continuing effort to make    a safer and more accessible place for         the Pedestrian Action Plan Phase I in October to coincide with Pedestrian Safety Awareness Month.
Phase I focused on reviewing and summarizing goals, objectives, strategies, and action items from      components, including the 2007     Plan, Long Range Transportation Plan, Strategic Highway Safety Plan,      on pedestrian cluster mapping and connectivity mapping also began under this phase.
The plan adopted the four goal
              of items that have been completed since 2007, as well as objectives with corresponding actions that are
either ongoing or are actions that
          & Plan, Standards & Guidelines,     Responsibility & Funding.
Phase II of the project will focus on engaging with planning partners and the public to evaluate the existing goals within Phase I of the plan and identify new goals, objectives, and action items to improve pedestrian safety, accessibility, connectivity, and equity throughout the state. Additional pedestrian crash cluster, connectivity, and equity mapping will also be undertaken. Work on Phase II is scheduled to begin in spring 2023.
