An RTP action that has progressed well is exceeding air-quality conformity standards. Both Cecil and New Castle counties comfortably meet emissions budgets established for ozone and fine particulate matter (PM2.5). Continued reductions in these emissions are expected with the advent of cleaner vehicle fleets and fuels.
