The overall design goal for this home was to create a space that is bold and adventurous with
a touch of glamour. To achieve this in
the dining room, the designer contrast-
ed deep blues with paler hues and used pops of gold for a luxurious sparkle. Textured wallpaper, decorative chi- noiserie paint, velvet fabrics, lacquered molding, and thread- ed window treat- ments add opulence. Photo: John Bessler
