RYE This contemporary kitchen design pairs matte-white paint and high-gloss walnut laminate with a softly pearlized, chocolate, textured laminate to add interest. The waterfall island is a focal point in this design, providing ample workspace, storage, and seating. A variety of hardware
is used throughout, giving the design a lot of variety. The butler’s pantry includes a paneled wine refrigerator with corner sink. Unifying the elements is honed “Calacatta Lincoln” marble
for the countertops and slab backsplashes.

WHITE PLAINS The homeowners
of this home are fond of repurposed industrial buildings and requested
that this aesthetic be worked into the design of their new kitchen while staying true to the home’s original architecture. The team exposed the ceiling joists and painted them white, while the floors and backsplash are finished in a cement-inspired porcelain tile. The cabinet doors and faces are solid cherry, with a dark, rustic finish, and the window interiors were painted black. Despite the darker palette, the kitchen’s natural and artificial lighting keep the work surfaces brightly lit and easy to use any time of day. Because this is a Kosher kitchen, there are two sinks, two dishwashers, and ample storage (including a walk-in pantry).
