HOW WE MAKE AN IMPACT
Since our founding, we have created 1,094
homes representing an investment of $383
million. We have also moved 9,851 homeless
households into permanent housing and
placed 9,628 job seekers into employment.
Westhab operates 22 homeless shelters in
Westchester and New York City. Our 1,017-
unit affordable housing portfolio comprises
39 multi-family rental buildings developed, owned, and/or managed by Westhab. We operate employment centers throughout Westchester. Our 8 youth programs provide 1,600+ kids each year with a safe and supportive environment to put them on pathways to long-term success.
GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
Westhab holds two large fundraising events each year: our springtime Celebration Dinner and our summer Golf Classic. In addition, supporters are encouraged to give to our annual appeal each December. At any time of the year, your support allows us to fill programmatic gaps, enhance the services we deliver, and ensure our clients are on the path to independence. For any questions about giving, please contact Emily Behan at emily.behan@westhab.org.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Westhab volunteers have the chance to give back to the community through a variety of remote and in-person opportunities. Join us at the Dayspring Community Center on the fourth Thursday of every month to support our Food Pantry distribution. Get
a group together to create “Welcome Home” kits for families moving to permanent housing. Volunteers can also help organize food, clothing, diaper, coat, or toy drives with the help of their school, places of worship, or employers. For questions about volunteering, please contact Leah Richardson at leah.richardson@westhab.org.
