  HOW WE MAKE AN IMPACT
The Monroe Foundation specializes in “gap funding,” providing smaller grants averaging from $500 to $5,000 per semester to assist students and “bridge the gap” remaining when all sources of tuition funding have been exhausted. This includes grants, loans, and personal funds.
We strive to assist first generation, urban students, and adults returning to complete their education.
GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
All donations of any amount are appreciated and will assist us in accomplishing our mission to help as many students as possible realize their goal of attaining a higher education.
The Monroe Foundation offers different corporate sponsorship levels, which gives a corporation an opportunity to partner with us in making an impact in the lives of our scholarship recipients. This partnership may, at times, allow for an internship opportunity within the company.
Our Named Legacy Grants offers another opportunity for donating in honor or memory of an individual, which may be funded at the $5,000 level.
In 2022, we launched The Friends of the Foundation scholarship program, which allows donors to establish scholarships in memory of (or honor of) a loved one, starting at $1,000.

The Foundation seeks to help lift financial barriers, which if not addressed, may result in qualified students being unable to continue the path to attain higher education credentials.
