   PICK YOUR POISON
Nothing spells vacation like a cold brew or a nice glass of local wine. Luckily, Delco is a good bet on both counts
          IRON HILL BREWERY
       2SP BREWING COMPANY
 SHIP BOTTOM BREWERY
2SP BREWING COMPANY
This nautically inclined brewing company first launched with a test lab in Delco’s Wallingford! Its production brewery is located in New Jersey, but Ship Bottom returned to its homeport via a collaboration with Linvilla Orchards. Since 2019, Ship Bottom has been the official brewer at Linvilla’s Beer Garden (which, by the way, is open through November!), where it serves up not “just” beer, but also ciders and hard seltzers.
STERLING PIG BREWERY
This Media favorite brews its lineup of craft beers in small batches, directly on-site, but you can also enjoy it in the comfort of your own home, through the brewery’s Pig on the Fly delivery service. Sterling Pig beers strike the balance between being flavorful and drinkable
— whether you choose the Stylander Scotch Ale, the Shoat Pilsner or the Big Gunz Double IPA.
IRON HILL BREWERY
If you like your beer with a side of delicious New American cuisine, you can’t go wrong with Media’s Iron Hill Brewery. Iron Hill prides itself on a handmade approach, which includes brewing beer on site
and making every dressing and sauce from scratch.
TOWN TAP BY CONSHOHOCKEN BREWING COMPANY
Conshohocken Brewing took a trip down the Blue Route (that’s Route 476 for out-of-towners) and landed in scenic Havertown with its Town Tap. This outpost offers a dozen of its beers — the Puddlers Row English-style ale, the Conshohocken IPA and more — plus a pub
grub menu and Sunday brunch.
2SP’s flagship brew is the Delco Lager, but you
won’t lack for options if you want to branch out.
The brewery’s Aston tasting room has 20 taps with a rotating selection that wears its Delco origins proudly on its sleeve. After all, 2SP’s collaboration with another local legend, Wawa, has resulted in such deliciousness as the Sunfest Strawberry Lemonade Shandy and the Wawa Coffee Stout.
MCKENZIE BREW HOUSE
McKenzie advertises itself as “the best restaurant and brewery in Malvern and Chadds Ford” and it’s no idle claim. The Mangan family has owned Irish pubs since the 1940s, and McKenzie Brew House itself has been around since 2001 — a solid achievement in a quick-turnover industry. So stop by and try an amber ale, a Belgian-style wit or an IPA. (Fun fact: the brew house is run by three generations of Williams: Bill Mangan, Bill Jr. and Will III.)
FOUR FINGERS BREWING COMPANY
Four Fingers in Aston is the brainchild of two locals who made friends on the sidelines of Little League games. But Four Fingers beer deserves to be part of any starting lineup, with varied options such as the Dacrima West Coast IPA and the Oatmeal Stout.
THE LARIMER BEER COMPANY
Favorites at this brewery and taproom in Chester
include the Black Is Beautiful Imperial Stout, the Regulators IPA, the K-38 Mexican Lager and the Not Your Sorority Sister’s Seltzer Blackberry & Key Lime flavor.
