The spark of creativity runs deep in Montgomery County, producing works that garner attention.
Abington Art Center
Tucked into a former mansion, the Abington Art Center’s exhibit rooms branch off central hallways that beg for exploration. Outside, a sculpture garden blends imagination with the ever-changing kaleidoscope of nature, meaning that no two visits are exactly the same.

Act II Playhouse
The Barrymore Awards – Philadelphia’s answer to New York’s Tony Awards – is a local badge of honor among acting troupes, and Act II has a trophy case full of them. The accolades are well deserved. Season after season, their cast, crew and staff put on Broadway-style plays, cabarets, reviews, musicals, one-acts and stand-up nights.
The Bryn Athyn Historic District
The three buildings that make up this National Historic Landmark feature some of the most beautiful architecture in the county. The castle-like Glencairn Museum houses a global collection of religious artwork. Cairnwood Estate, a Gilded Age, Beaux Arts mansion,
is open for tours. The stunning Gothic- and Romanesque-style Bryn Athyn Cathedral mimics the great cathedrals of Europe and features stained glass windows that were crafted using medieval methodologies.
The Stoogeum
Dive into some pop culture at The Stoogeum in Ambler, a three-story tribute to three of Hollywood’s most notable knuckleheads. Hours are limited (plan your visit
accordingly), but even for a casual fan, this museum is a must-see.
